2E1X1.com was born out of the need to communicate within the Satellite, Wideband, and Telemetry Systems career field. Since the opening of the site it was clear the U.S. Air Force was changing the way we operated and the way we were changing. In 2009 we became the 3D1X3 career field also known as RF Transmission Systems. Ground Radio was merged into our career field creating an even bigger pool of technicians the Air Force could group together. Our career filed now has thousands of members from across all specialties within the Communications field and a 3D is even more valuable today than just a few years ago.
With the evolution that has become our field the website needed to adapt. We have changed to 3D AFSC to incorporate what we were to where we are going. We have an opportunity now to include all communication career fields into one location and truly enhance what we do. Though we have taken down the 2e1x1 website this marker will continue to live on the web as a reminder of what we were. We invite even the old school SATCOMer’s, Widebanders, and such to come to 3DAFSC.com so we can continue the conversation like it was yesterday. You will find many old friends and even new ones on the new site.
With the ending of this website that hosted hundreds of members we RIP. We are now successfully 3D AFSC and hope to see you on the new board!
